German artist Johannes Baptista Ludwig has taken classic animated characters and quite literally turn them inside out, titling the results ‘Bugs Boney,’ and ‘Mickey Mort,’ respectively. The pieces, which combine the real bones of cats and rabbits with items ranging from bamboo to soy sauce, are both maniacal and hauntingly playful. Both ‘Bugs Boney’ and ‘Mickey Mort’ demonstrate Ludwig’s ability to create something beautiful out materials that on their own are nothing of the sort. via
